El Remate is a birder's paradise with over 400 species recorded in the area. The morning birding tour takes you by boat around Lake Peten Itza where you can spot kingfishers, herons, cormorants, and many other water birds.
For a different adventure, join the evening crocodile tour where we navigate the lake's shores with spotlights to observe the Morelet's crocodiles that inhabit these waters.
Both tours offer unique perspectives on the incredible biodiversity of the Peten region.
